To clear space used by locally used OneDrive files, right-click on the file or folder you want to store primarily in the cloud and choose to Free up space or Clear space. This will force files to sync up to the cloud and they will be removed from your local storage. This allows you to use more than the allocated local hard drive space on your machine by only storing the files there that you need to access frequently.
