Step 1 – Open the membership record


Step 2 - Check all details on the upgrade form are correct and update system with the correct details if required.


Step 2 – To process the upgrade – Click on the Upgrade button on the members contact screen on Helix


Step 3 – Once on the membership processing screen, select desired membership upgrade grade.


Step 4 – Make sure the correct membership grade rate (NZMA) has is correct. If not, change for the correct rate.


Step 5
– Click on the Approve membership button to approve upgrade.


Step 6  - Click on Go to Contact button, once on contact screen – make sure all the grades on the screen have automatically updated. If does not update, raise visual studio to get this updated.


Step 7 – Membership upgrade confirmation emails with renewal dates are sent directly to the NZMA office and not the member. 


Step 8 – Make sure the membership pack has been generated to be sent.


Things to consider:

- Make sure before processing payment that the membership rate is correct
- Never go back to the member directly
- Make sure all upgrade documents have been filed away, initialed & date stamped.
